Castelli UK Ltd
wanted to make improvements to their existing IT infrastructure - in particular
the company were dissatisfied with their current method of Internet access and concerned about the potential consequences of a virus outbreak.

After
an initial consultation and system audit, a number of improvements were made in
key areas:

A secure routed ISDN network was
installed in conjunction with a hardware firewall to provide Castelli employees
with fast, stable and secure Internet access.

The
company e-mail system was upgraded to provide an internal mail system and
instant delivery / receipt of messages to other businesses.

The server
environment was upgraded to provide the company with protection from both power
outages and hardware failure. This was achieved by installing a
UPS for the server, and a company wide
Surge protection system.

Finally, a centrally
managed Antivirus product was
installed to protect the company from the threat, expense and possible
embarrassment of a virus outbreak.
